1. Create a captain and start small

Create a local captain with a nickname and follow the first-catch tutorial. Start at Quiet Lake with touch controls so you can learn the rhythm of a catch. No online account is needed; progress is stored on your device.

2. Prepare your cast

From the shore, choose Fish to open the casting controls. Choose an available water target and watch the aiming indicator. Hold the large cast button to build power, then release when the power indicator reaches the golden zone. The first-catch tutorial guides you through this step.

3. Wait for the bite

Watch the float after casting. A nibble is not the signal to reel yet: wait for the bite prompt, then tap the large button once to hook the fish. Casting and hooking use touch in both control modes.

4. Follow the fish, not just the button

During the fight, keep the white indicator inside the fish’s green target area. With touch controls, holding moves the indicator right and releasing lets it move left. Alternate between holding and easing off as the fish moves. Staying in the target builds catch progress; holding continuously can take you out of the safe area.

5. Read the fish’s cues

Watch the message above the tension gauge. When the fish dives or the game tells you to ease off, release rather than forcing the reel. Resume when the fish settles. The catch progress bar and line-wear indicator tell you how the fight is going.

6. Explore after your catch

Check Collection for discovered fish and research, and My Harbor for building goals and rewards. Read an upgrade’s requirements before spending your coins. You can return to the shore to explore the menus or choose another cast when you are ready.

Keep your progress in mind

The game is designed for offline play. Saves belong to the device; cloud saves and automatic transfer to another phone are not included. Be careful before deleting the app or changing devices. If a control does not respond as expected, the controls guide below explains calibration and touch fallback.
